About

This blog

This is a blog about physics, science in general, critical thinking, gay rights, and other musings. This blog aims to take a skeptical angle by valuing evidence over rhetoric. In theory, this blog is written for a lay audience.

The author

My name is Justin Wilson, and I'm currently a physics Ph.D. candidate at the University of Maryland. I work in the Condensed Matter Theory Center and the Joint Quantum Institute (however, nothing I write on here reflects the views or opinions of these institutions). I love my work. I grew up in Texas and lived with my Mom and sister for most of my life. My dad lives in Texas as well up in the Dallas area. I came out as gay when I was 21 years old, and I've been grateful for the support of friends and family.
